In addition to the standard IE6 settings explained in the Ensight documentation, the following extra settings need to be applied to installations of IE7:

Clipboard prompt fix:

The clipboard prompt appears in the Design Mode editor as follows:

Do you want to allow this webpage to access your Clipboard?

  • Click on the Tools menu and choose Internet Options from the menu
  • Click on the Security tab
  • Select the Internet zone and then Custom Level...

  • Locate the option called Allow Programmatic clipboard access and change it to Enable

  • Click OK, then OK again to save changes

Status Bar Fix:

  • Follow the steps above to modify Custom Level settings under the Security tab
  • Locate the option under the "Miscellaneous" grouping labeled "Allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraints" and set it to Enable
  • Locate the option under the "Miscellaneous" grouping labeled "Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars" and set it to Enable
  • Click OK, then OK again to save changes

Popup Blocker Fix:

  • Select Pop-up Blocker, and Pop-up Blocker Settings from the Tools menu
  • Enter the URL of the current site and click Add
  • Click Close
